Enoki Beef Roll えのき肉巻き
Ingredients:
1 pack thinly sliced beef (can also use pork)
1 pack enoki mushroom
salt & pepper (for seasoning)
3 tbsp flour
1 tbsp cooking oil
1 tbsp soy sauce (for sauce)
1 tbsp mirin (for sauce)
1 tbsp sake (for sauce)
1/2 tbsp sugar (for sauce)
sesame seeds (for garnish)
green onion (for garnish)
Instructions:
Season beef (or pork) - season the beef (or pork) with salt and pepper
Wrap - separate enoki mushrooms into small portions (see picture for reference) then wrap in a beef slice or two (depending on how thick you want the roll)
Coat in flour - coat each roll in some flour (for thickening the sauce and help form a crust)
Cook - on medium-high heat, heat up cooking oil in a pan, then cook the rolls on each side until cooked
Add sauce - add the sauce ingredients (soy sauce, mirin, sake, sugar), adjust the amount based on how much sauce you want, and cover with a lid for a minute
Serve it up - plate it up, pour excess sauce on top, then garnish with sesame seeds and chopped green onions
