Enoki Beef Roll えのき肉巻き


  • 1 pack thinly sliced beef (can also use pork)

  • 1 pack enoki mushroom

  • salt & pepper (for seasoning)

  • 3 tbsp flour

  • 1 tbsp cooking oil

  • 1 tbsp soy sauce (for sauce)

  • 1 tbsp mirin (for sauce)

  • 1 tbsp sake (for sauce)

  • 1/2 tbsp sugar (for sauce)

  • sesame seeds (for garnish)

  • green onion (for garnish)


  1. Season beef (or pork) - season the beef (or pork) with salt and pepper

  2. Wrap - separate enoki mushrooms into small portions (see picture for reference) then wrap in a beef slice or two (depending on how thick you want the roll)

  3. Coat in flour - coat each roll in some flour (for thickening the sauce and help form a crust)

  4. Cook - on medium-high heat, heat up cooking oil in a pan, then cook the rolls on each side until cooked

  5. Add sauce - add the sauce ingredients (soy sauce, mirin, sake, sugar), adjust the amount based on how much sauce you want, and cover with a lid for a minute

  6. Serve it up - plate it up, pour excess sauce on top, then garnish with sesame seeds and chopped green onions

  7. Enjoy!
