Soboro Donburi (Ground Chicken Rice Bowl) そぼろ丼


  • ½ lbs ground chicken

  • 1 tsp grated ginger

  • 1 tbsp sake

  • 1 tbsp mirin

  • 1 tbsp sugar

  • 2 tbsp soy sauce

  • 2 large eggs

  • cooked rice

  • ¼ cup green peas


  1. Prepare ground chicken - in an oiled frying pan, cook ground chicken until no longer pink (use a spatula to break into small pieces), then add grated ginger, sake, mirin, soy sauce and ½ tbsp sugar

  2. Prepare scrambled eggs - beat eggs in a bowl and add in ½ tbsp sugar, then in an oiled frying pan on medium low heat, add in eggs and break into small pieces as eggs cook

  3. Serve it up - on a bed of cooked rice, plate ground chicken, green peas and scrambled eggs on top

  4. Enjoy!
