Yakisoba (Stir-Fried Noodles) 焼きそば


  • 2 servings yakisoba noodles (I use a pre-boiled version)

  • 0.5 onion

  • 0.5 lb thinly-sliced pork belly

  • 1 cup cabbage

  • 0.5 cup carrot

  • 0.5 cup shiitake mushroom

  • 1/4 cup yakisoba sauce (I use the Otafuku brand)

  • ground black pepper

  • aonori (for garnish)

  • beni-shoga (for garnish)


  1. Prepare ingredients - cut cabbage into one-inch square pieces, julienne carrots, slice mushroom tops, slice onions, cut pork belly into one-inch pieces

  2. Cook ingredients - in frying pan or skillet, add oil, and on high heat (because we want a nice char), add onion and pork until cooked, add carrots and cabbage, then add shiitake mushrooms (season with ground black pepper)

  3. Add noodles & sauce - add yakisoba noodles to pan, then add yakisoba sauce and mix until well combined

  4. Serve it up - garnish with aonori and beni-shoga

  5. Enjoy!
